Guided Walking Tours
We offer tours each year. These tours include historic Evergreen Cemetery, which are very popular, and downtown tours led by our historians. Check our home page for current events.
Self-Guided Walking Tours
Take our Hewitt Ave walking tour, in the central business district, which has numerous buildings from Everett’s beginnings in 1892 through more the mid-century modern era. Optimized for smart phone use.
The first neighborhood in old Everett was Riverside. We’ve put together an encyclopedic Riverside Self-guided Tour, street by street, for this neighborhood. Riverside is bordered by the Snohomish River, Broadway Ave, Pacific Ave, and 19th St. Optimized for smart phone use.
Neighborhood walking tours (IN WORK)
Bayside is the second oldest neighborhood in old Everett, starting nearly the same time as Riverside. It’s bordered by Puget Sound, Broadway Ave, 19th St, and for the purposes of this walking tour, Everett Ave. This walking tour concentrates on homes (not the central business district, some of which is covered in the Hewitt Avenue National Historic District self-guided tour.
The Northwest neighborhood is bounded by Puget Sound, the Snohomish River, Broadway, and 19th St. This tour covers homes. We hope to have our Mill Town Trail tour cover the history of the waterfront, some time in the future.
The Port Gardner neighborhood is between 41st and Pacific, and runs from the river to the bay.
